Why do you think the vast majority of software is written in GC languages? How does Rust point out deadlocks?

An order of magnitude? Not true at all. Look at this benchmarks: https://web-frameworks-benchmark.netlify.app/result?f=axum,g... I've done some benchmarking with Actic, Axum and Go (std lib). Actix was top, Axum about

Those benchmarks are highly gamed. Don't trust them. Stuff like hardcoded response length ... Also, they use http and DB pipelining, which hardly reflects most real world usecases. Have a look here: https://web-frameworks-be

The hardest multithreading related bugs are deadlocks, which Rust doesn't prevent. So this "fearless concurrency" mantra is not entirely true.

Or use a GC language with a great typesystem and have both safety and fast efficient development cycles.

No, C# or Typescript is way easier, as a GC does the memory management for us. Lifetimes in async Rust are one the hardest things.

Unless you really need the best performance possible there're pretty good alternatives. Mainly C# or Go and soon JVM with Loom. Some numbers: https://web-frameworks-benchmark.netlify.app/result?l=rust,g...
