I just had to show Claude this website to see what it thought. I know this is stupid, but hey, it can't be more stupid than the website itself. https://claude.ai/share/c955ab3d-3e92-404a-9d64-97d99263eb5d

What makes you think they aren't doing that? You don't want to ban the model from running sudo. I have Claude working in a VM where it has (and needs) free rein, including sudo.

I don't understand this take. Ultimately, people pay for how much they're able to accomplish with the model, not raw token count. If Anthropic thought people could accomplish the same amount with fewer tokens, they'd adapt t

The problem is likely that you only wrote a few sentences. Pangram clearly needs more text than that to work, which makes sense. Pangram should refuse to work with small amounts of text. (Well, I know it already does, but the threshold shou

For hosted models, there's no way to know what the real costs are. But we know what it costs to run the open models, and moore's law tells us that it's going to get cheaper, at least for the same capabilities they have today.

Although the ban was only for non-Americans, Anthropic said that they'd also restricted access to their own employees internally, because they had no other realistic way to apply the government's orders. I guess it's possible

I'm just guessing here, but I find that the models are often quite bad at ignoring information. So if the harness appended a timestamp to each message the model sees, I wouldn't be surprised if the model often responded with "

Well, it's not a free lunch, you're still paying for the cache-warming request. Most of that request will be cached by definition, but cached requests merely cost less , they aren't free.

Oh, I can tell you for myself that handwriting is awful. I'm focused entirely on the process of writing and can't think about anything else. When I type I feel like I can move at the speed of my brain.

I've heard this theory too—but I feel it doesn't match how we do anything else in life. For example, you could make typing slow too by forcing people to type with two fingers, or use a really tiny keyboard. Are touch typists worse

I agree that fine motor control is important, I just don't think forcing people (especially kids) to write by hand is necessarily the best way to do it. For example, if the kids went to your makerspace, they could learn fine motor co
