Lots of businesses build their own software. Do you think it's easier to deploy private software onto an iPad or a Windows machine?

Speak for yourself - the Surface Pro line is sexy as hell and the fact that it's not a walled garden is a huge plus.

Nope. No, no way. Uh-uh. Forget it. It didn't happen in the news, so it didn't happen. There is no possibility that anything hidden ever takes place, therefore you are wrong and your story must be fake. /s ( I've actuall

I did it in retaliation to the person(s) who downvoted someone speaking well of Microsoft products. If you really want to see how petty people can be, try being a Microsoft fan around here.

Some people are so petty that they feel the need to downvote this because you spoke well of a Microsoft product. I love my Windows tablets! They're so much more powerful than devices running a locked down mobile OS!

I only use Windows tablets, where I enjoy the freedom of installing whatever I want. I have a Dell Venue Pro 8 running Win10 for light duty & reading, I have a Surface Pro running Win8 at a client's site for a remote workstation an

Yeah, I'm so happy that Apple popularized the walled-garden approach to selling hardware and software. Now everybody is trying to get in on it and instead of owning my stuff and being able share it and run it wherever I want, I'

Wow, I pasted the wrong sentence. But you're still obviously lying or completely missing my point . And who are you trying to convince here? People can easily read what you wrote, there really wasn't much there. My point is that

You're building a straw-man there. A standard library can certainly be made to be modular and versioned. It doesn't have to be bloated for any reason whatsoever. This is Javascript - you can chop up your scripts however you wa

Which library? From where? Never heard of ramda, but I can tell you it's not standard. Why should people use JS with a non-standard library when dictionaries come built into better languages?

You totally underestimate the millions of JS coders who want something better than JS, who have been using JS because that's their only choice. I think most coders would choose a language that has better tooling and robust standard l

'Expressive' means that it's easy to write code that's easy to understand . JS doesn't even come close to the expressiveness that you get in C# due to the fact that in JS, you don't even know the type of argum

Totally agree. I can't wait for someone to get this right! Many, many enterprise shops spend way too much time building simple CRUD apps. It's basically a "Microsoft Access/VBA" or "FileMaker" for the web.

This type of complaint needs highlight the fact that "design flaws" are a matter of course for any major operating systems. Without doing that, it comes off as a fairly one-sided, myopic point of view. Plenty of people hate the bu

The OS X Dock is the crappiest integral part of OS X and I'd love to replace it, but it simply cannot be done properly because Apple is the only one allowed to access a certain key API (the one that changes NSScreen.visibleFrame).

You have to add and replace all sorts of things to make OS X usable. Apple just added the ability to resize a window by it's edges a couple of years ago! And there still is no tiling. And the finder still sucks. But it's got the
