American schools are not a monolith. There are some of the world's best schools and (first) world's worse schools. If you could afford a fancy school in the UK, you were likely in a nice neighborhood in the US with enough property

I love that Apple is big enough that a $3B cash acquisition (and it's biggest ever) is barely a footnote in the company's history.

If mail was privatized, they would just stop delivering to rural addresses. Which I'm fine with. Rural communities are subsidized by the federal government far, far too much.

Yes this violates the EV EO and will likely be overturned before any vehicles are delivered. Biden just nominated 3 new members to the postal board; meaning DeJoy is on the way out sooner rather than later.

I have yet to witness MSNBC pour their efforts into deliberate misinformation. They clearly have a bias, but they are at least peddling correct information.

How is an increase in the money supply theft if increases in price are irrelevant?

That is a disingenuous argument, at best. Inflation is a specific economic term with a specific definition. And it's not increase in the money supply.

Inflation and changes to the money supply are not the same thing. This conflation gets pushed by libertarians/techno-libertarians constantly. The money supply can increase and inflation (the price of goods and services) can go down.

Don't think of Gmaps as a cloud service in the sense of GCP. It's a SAAS api that offers a unique service and the charge is for that service. It is pretty much the only option for what it does and can charge accordingly. This will

Everyone here complaining about the pricing on the managed Grafana and Prometheus services have clearly never worked at a shop using SumoLogic. Log/metric processing/querying is expensive for a reason.

The way GA is promoted by the non-math world does not unify mathematical formalisms. I've yet to see a GA implementation that does more than reimplement rotations/quaternions.

Depends on your definition of calculation. From what I've seen so far, the simplifications that GA makes are mostly on the symbolic side. That is, it makes the written equations more compact. But the math "under the hood" is
