Or perhaps you think there are more people against GA here than there actually are.

Actually it's approximately 20% of rust's total time on earth. That's very long, relatively speaking.

I would be more worried about repeating mistakes from the other side of the political spectrum this time, since that's more likely and currently what seems to be happening.

This has nothing to do with rust, vectors are perfectly good for anything not related to this particular problem.

The whole point of you saving for 3 months is specifically to avoid the downturn scenario you described in your own post, so you obviously wouldn't have to lay people off because you specifically prepared for it by saving money.

This is easily pointed out, almost to the point where it's a lazy counter-point. In this case layoffs are a clear sign of distress and all those who have been laid off will have a hard time getting new jobs, which is something we shoul

It's gaining a good track record because big industry giants are using it, but it's hard to force functional languages on people. The majority of people will learn OOP for a number of reasons unrelated to how good it is, while fun

Do you think all rust developers are connected together like some sort of hivemind? What an open source developer chooses to spend their time on doesn't require the consideration and consolidation of the entire rust team, nor does it s

I was just reading this book on Bullshit Jobs https://www.loniya.org/storage/pdf/1535752644.pdf It's an excellent introduction into the problems of capitalism for those not particularly interested in communis

On the scale of "not worried at all" to "feeling complete helplessness" you should be somewhere in the middle. Maybe 2/3rds of the way up. Respect the situation for what it is, listen to scientists, and you won'

If this was true, i suspect theirs would be better. Dialyzer doesn't seem very interesting and facebook has a good track record with making modern libraries and implementations.

But there is obviously a pandemic. I mean the WHO just called it a pandemic. How is 1) even an option? Do they just pretend it doesn't exist? Do they hope it doesn't kill too many people? People wont buy it, that's for sure.

obviously its not going to be exponential forever, no one believes that. The more people get infected, the less people there are to infect. This is obvious. The problem is no one knows where the inflection point is yet, and it depends entir

This is beyond simply getting a hospital bed, really. If people can't even stay at home because they're forced to make money, or they cant afford proper medication, well you get the idea.

One of the things that will shake up the US elections and put the entire country at risk is the fact that healthcare is so expensive. If you cannot get treated for coronavirus, you can expect the number of cases to spread and skyrocket.

What's to stop UBI from eating into other welfare checks? Or what's stopping renters from simply raising rent 1000 dollars?

This movie was a plot exaggerated to be interesting. Most cutthroat behaviour exhibited by the poor in real life is not literally killing, but more like selfishness and conniving.

I don't know the specifics of persona so i cannot make a comparison, but payment processes are way harder to set up, and money is on the line, so more people should adopt this. Logins are often provided as part of whatever framework yo

I get the sentiment but Python is to assembly as Tailwind is to assembly. It's too far removed. The leap between vanilla css and tailwind is not large at all.

Capitalism is about making profit. There will be people who feel nice and want to buy this, but it's really not a reliable business model.

It's a rhetoric not a fact, but any logical person can deduce that an industry that stands to lose money, and has a lot of it, will use some of it to push a narrative that everything is fine. This is tutorial level critical thinking.
