Out of curiosity (and not looking for an argument about it): Doens't two-finger scrolling feel just as natural/comfortable?

I'm surprised that only the touchscreen editions are UHD. I'd have guessed developers would prefer UHD, but no touch. Am I really missing something? Do people really prefer touch (or, FHD)?.

Not entirely. You get a CD, and a licence to reproduce it under certain conditions. If you purchase a music CD, your rights to reproduce it can legally be revoked (though I can't think of any cases where this has actually happened). Pe

This really depends on where you live. Harassing and other similar situations are very common in Taxis where I live, while Uber drivers seem to be well-behaved. None of my female friends dare get into a Taxi due to, well, harassment, (some

I've taken my cats (in their carriers) to the ER on Uber several times. Generally, they don't have any issues and are quite empathic to the situation.

What worries me the most about freelancing, or being a small 3-person shop, is retirement. A 3-person shop might not be sustainable if me (1/3) decides to retire and has to pay someone to keep it afloat. And that is, if I find such a p

It's also 99USD/year in Argentina, but we don't get the fast shipping US/India gets. We're also a "poorer" country, I'm not sure what they base their prices on.

Huh, we've fixed that in Argentina, because supermarkets have to label the price both by unit, and by a standard measure (eg: kg / litres). So the price tag on toilet papers will display the price per metre, and the price tag on c

For those of us for whom email is so important, having a paid provider that has human support staff (that actually responds) should be equally important. IMHO, free supportless email [like gmail] isn't really an option, given the huge

Some companies understood and embraced this: Slack and auth0 can send you "login links" via email which log you right in. Remove that pesky "password" from the entire "password reset" flow. Makes perfect sense

This happens all over the place -- for some reason, the majority of the people won't learn. They'll tell you horror stories about how they lost a lot of work (or even money!) because a provider never gave them support, yet, go bac

I'm honestly amazed that these clauses are legal in the US. There are certain rights which now cannot renounce in many countries -- the right to sue someone [in court] for sexual harassment is one of them (or any criminal activity real

Same here. Regrettably, if you UNDERSTAND git, a GUI won't work for you. If you're interested in understanding it, it won't work for you either. A GUI works fine if you want to get things done. If you like to know what goes o

Geez, using `git add .` is the worst thing you can do. Never use this. Tutorials: stop suggesting this. It's just a recipe to getting yourself into a mess (plus, you should never work so blindly!). Add individual files, and, if possibl
