Well, yeah, but the technical detail doesn't have to remain low. When you first explain something to someone you keep it simple so that they get the broad picture, you use analogies and what not. As they learn you can start introducing

Nice. Way back in the day, maybe 20-25 years ago, I had a first look at the boot process and wish I'd had something similar to the first chapter then. Man, it was hard to find information and ones you did you realized understanding it

Of course we will or rather we will understand what causes the phenomenon which we attribute to dark matter. I don't really see the failures mentioned in the article as failures. We had an idea about how nature works, tested it and sho

Right, but aren't the groupings supposed to be called Erudite, Abnegation, Amity, Dauntless and other silly names like that. Intellectual, social, creative and physical sound so bland. :) Seriously though: I'm not against separate

Yup, and if we do manage to prove it's existence we should keep the name "Planet 9". And pretty please let the math on the star collision in 2022 be correct. I really want to see that.

Regarding sneezing: next time you feel your nose itching squeeze the top portion of your right ring finger real hard. I have no clue why it works but in most cases (say 90%) it works for me. Then again I sneeze when ever I look up at a clea

I have the same issue - can't think of a single one. Most of the ones I could think of are solved better with CDN or other cloud services. Well, should all DNS servers suddenly die it might be useful but besides that.. But, yeah, still

If we were to create a new category including only nations of a certain area size or population then the US would probably get a high or at the top ranking. However, if the US seeks to become ever greater they, and all other nations for tha

Was reading the article and, in true wiki fashion, click the links that seem relevant to get more context. As is often the case I ended up in some other corner of the internet watching interviews with Stephen Pinker. Something in all that i
