For those wondering, the current charge mechanic is shared amongst all attacks. You start with 0 "charge". Each time you click an attack button (regardless if it lets you attack or not) you gain 1 charge. If you have enough charge

This is pretty impressive! I didn't expect math, so that was a nice surprise. Many others have pointed out some nice changes. I have a super nitpick - the enemy's HP immediately decrements before the "hit" animation play

Regarding the first example you mentioned. Is this akin to Django's own InspectDB, but leveled up?

Could this be mitigated by using `dict()` instead of the `{}` literal, and then running an analysis to ensure the provided dictionary keys all end with valid operations? E.g, __contains, __lt, etc? I don't have a strong background in s

That's a bit biased, no? The actual comparison should be: filtered = Q(l,{'name__contains':"k", "age__lt":20}) Verus: filtered = [x for x in l if ('k' in x['name'] and int(x[

I can't confirm, but I had a Apple store employee tell me the same. And then I forgot to use it when I ordered my Mac Mini.

I'm 19 years into my development career. I've been promoted to some sort of manager position twice. Currently, I'm 7 years into a management role. I don't hate every minute of it; but I sorely miss every minute I'm

40+ as well; Django server side rendering and larger doses of React where we need more interactivity; but absolutely no SPA, client-side routing, etc. It's too much. And yes, bootstrap CSS (3.3.7 even!) because it still works.

We're running RM/COBOL on RHEL8 VMs backed powered by VMware. I don't work with it, I'm in a different IT area, but our COBOL codebase supports the lion's share of our day-to-day operations.

Pretty decent introduction. Will there be additional parts that cover how to create GROUP BY queries in the ORM? I find even seasoned Django developers struggle with these. Also, I believe your code for creating an empty "data" mi

I really wish Django would let you write raw queries, but wrap them in an object that still allows `.annotate()` and `.filter`, etc. I know you can do Model.objects.raw(), but I'm talking about a more complex query with nested joins, e
