Are iMessage communications signed with an apple device specific key? I imagine part of the reason that it has proven to be so difficult to reverse engineer, is that it somehow utilises an apple devices secure enclave?

I would probably say courageous rather than "unafraid", there are plenty of things Elon is afraid of, most recently he was expressing how nervous he was about the dm-2 launch. There is nothing wrong with fear, it's healthy to

How much of exploitability of SHA1 is due to cryptographic weaknesses, and how much are due to it's digest size? If you were able to generalize the SHA1 algorithm, to 256 bits, would it still be in the realm of exploitability?

Glanced through the Drogon documentation, and it seems about as simple as a C++ web framework can be. Greenlighting on the other hand would definitely be confusing for your average java developer. You have to write code very differently,

There was a supreme court case a while ago that enshrined freedom of speech rights for companies, I get the sense that many of the same people that complained about that then, are now advocating for the rights of companies.

You also cant use capacity providers with cloudformation yet. Likely due to the fact, that you also cant delete capacity providers, nor change a cluster's default capacity provider.

I haven't used Nix, but I would have thought that builds would be fast, due to how cache-able the dependencies should be.

I find ECS particularly, ECS on EC2, to be really painful for small deployments. I just want a cluster that scales in and out to the amount of memory my tasks need, I'm not very concerned about CPU. Until capacity providers it was mo

Of all the problems with NPM, it being centralized is the last of them imo. Having experienced the mess that is go's decentralized dependency management, I'm not sure why anyone would want to replicate it. Putting aside security

Regarding using lambda for a REST API, just set up API gateway endpoint in proxy mode, and run all your endpoints from one lambda, will be much simpler, and if you use a decent framework, it will be really simple to convert your app into a

Yeah there are lots more knobs they could have played with in regards to Java garbage collection. I wonder if they capped the java max heap size to what the go implementation used, how much it would have affected the runtime.

There are so many AWS managed policies that provide access far beyond what one might suspect given the policy name and description. Implementing least privilege with IAM can be really difficult in any moderately complex environment.

I am curious how, without actually invoking the function, lambda knows when your application has been initialized. Does it just run your application for a few seconds and then freeze it? Or does it not even run the application code, merel

I doubt there are that many people that want a provisioned concurrency of greater than one. If you have a reliable base-load of a few requests a second and you don't have some constraint that forces you to use lambda, you are going to
