I guess at the current market cap you may be right about 2x being "a lot", but the crypto market is no stranger to multiple increases. And the valves are fully open now with a ton of Bitcoin/Crypto ETFs across the planet and

Should they analyse everything all at once? Your comment seems reductionist to the realities of writing a paper on a specific subject.

Yeah it's a desire to do so in a really short amount of time because there's other things I prioritize.

I understand your take but it's only going to get better and incredibly fast. I'm a huge film nerd and I can only dream of a future where I could use these type of tools (but more advanced) to create short films about ideas I'

Because it's relative to the original value. Your logic: 100% means 1. A 100% increase is x * 1. Correct logic: 100% means 1. A 100% increase is x + (x * 1) Your 30% example is the same x + (x * 0.3) 200% is x + (x * 2) for a total of

Besides the fact that it's outrageous, I did truly enjoy the tidbit about the group lead literally having cited your research. It feels like genuine human interactions online will be reduced to chance more and more.

Exploring different approaches and stumbling on AGI eventually through a combination of random discoveries will be the way to go. Same as Bitcoin being the right combination of things that already existed.

Not wanting to engage in the same small talk with different random people isn't bleak. Get off your incredibly high horse.

Tried Waymo in SF. Didn't take a single cab/Uber after and only used Waymo during my trip. Putting my own music and not having to interact with anyone is pretty great.

At 250w average during a 5 hour ride I'm burning like 1000 calories per hour or something mething close. Glycogen reserves are 2000 calories from a quick Google search, so that's 3k calories I need to make up for or 600 per hour.

I'm in Canada and just got my first house. After growing up in Europe, the first thing I want to do is install those European style external metal blinds that fully 100% black out the room to an absurd degree.

No one is saying there is. Just that we've reached some big milestones recently which could help get us there even if it's only by increased investment in AI as a whole, rather than the current models being part of a larger AGI.

By any means necessary I presume. If Russian propaganda helped get Trump elected, AI propaganda could help social coordination by influencing public perception of issues and microtargeting down to the individual level to get people on board

Pretty much this. I'd love counter examples of startups in the space that haven't been crushed from the top yet.

I'm not disillusioned I'm just being realistic. As opposed to the Dotcom boom, AI is top down rather than bottom up. Very few startups are finding success and if they do it's short lived because it gets replaced or integrated

That sounds idiotic. I'm on a very clear downtrend in weight and on days where I burn more calories I eat more to avoid going into too high a deficit. (cycling workouts with power meter or on Zwift, accurate calorie counts)

I imagine we haven't figured out how to observe it yet. Same as anything else we couldn't observe before we did. Ruling out "it's magic", we can presume that everything in the universe is linked logically somehow, t
