At the same time, I get annoyed at people getting so offended over the idea. Why should everyone have to work like the UPS guy? It sounds like the UPS driver's job is unsustainable and will either lead to an accident or injury at some

If you live in a major city, you probably already get gobs of that friggin spam rubber-banded to your front door knob anyway. I find it in my mailbox, on my doorknob, on my door step, sometimes on the windshield wiper of my jeep. Every now

This sounds most correct to me. A lot of landlords out here see their houses as ATMs and milk them for all its worth. You can't even "take your business elsewhere" because they're all janky and in bad need of a remodel.

Ahh I miss froogle. But I also really liked yahoo shopping. It had a similar global search, if I recall, but you could still buy directly from tons of stores. Same with using pricewatch to get cheap computer parts. It feels like a lot of th

That can lead to better mobility though, can't it? Instead of living in a town full of poor people who you can't sell anything to. lol.

lol some socal cities are kinda like that. The streets are maintained just fine but the business owners/landlords are trying to squeeze every last drop out of their 1960s pieces of junk and refuse to maintain/update/rebuild t

I'll claim the economy can function just fine with all the bullshit middle management and software engineers working from home. Let the essential people do their essential jobs at lower risk of catching the virus - and with less microm

This is true. Speaking from California here, several Bay Area counties were the first I knew of. NYC started doing shelter-in-place like 3 weeks later.

cpaps are in a different ballpark than doctor visits! If you hunt around, you should be able to see a doctor for $100-ish. (Edit: of course, $100-ish is still a large amount of money) (In some parts of CA, Heal will send a doctor to your ho

Cue the Blizzard Doom guy saying "Do you guys not have phones?" as if that'd get us to stop using our grandpa boxes. I'm not sure what's so terrible about a website that they're desperate to drop development on

Having acted as a landlord before, and having rented before, the only thing either party can really do is ask nicely and hope for the best. On either side of the table, I'd hope for the fastest return to an ideal situation. Luckily my

My favorite thing about using Apple pay is I don't have to touch anything (most of the time, anyway). I just double tap my watch and hold it near the card reader and that's it. Having that convenience is super nice right now!
