And yet, the author of the article teaches board games by not telling a story, but by explaining the winning condition. Imho, storytelling in a business/teaching/problem-solving context is overrated.

What are you talking about? The first comment is literally a real sincere rebuttal: "performance doesn’t matter in 99.9% of apps".

Ionic components are web components with bindings for React, Vue and more. The advantage is that you can use Ionic in vanilla JS as well.

I’m using Ionic heavily and judge it through this lens. - The components for iOS look nice, but some things are off: Sheet modal is weird. Animation of modals or side panels feel too slow. - There are no animations when navigating forward o

I joined LinkedIn two weeks ago for the first time and have never used it before. It feels very much like Facebook to me with a touch of business-LARPing.

I found it funny. It’s a tongue in cheek opener and imho, you guys take it way too literal. I can relate to the feeling that people in the past (at least the vast majority) were kinda stupid, because they were uneducated in many things. Of

Is a copyright notice required at all? Isn’t it the default anyways and only if you do something like Creative Commons, you need to explicitly state that you give permission for using your work?

They replaced their bill for a somewhat productive workforce with a bigger, completely unproductive interest bill. So no, Twitter didn’t become less unprofitable.

On first sight, the design looks nice. On second sight, it’s a slow SPA, showing placeholders for way too long. The usability around navigation has the typical buggy SPA feeling: Go here https://topcat.sora.city/found Tap a

That is geared towards coming up with new rules I presume. Think about it: creating software is creating new rules. You gotta start somewhere and refine the system. But if you learn an existing rule system, you need to follow it first, then

I get the rage and I agree. I prefer it as well. But three points to consider: 1. In Twitter, just create lists instead of following. Strict reverse chronological order with no ads. Or use Mastodon, which has this by default. 2. Most users
