NewPipe is one of "THE APPS" that make me regret a bit that I had to move to iOS again. The possibility to just download and listen offline and also to create playlists without an account are awesome.

This would be the internet that was used in Star Trek I think. The computers they use can just be asked about something and the whole system is searched for that - so the service to find things is inherent to the system itself. In our world

Yes of course! In a capitalist market where the one main goal is to earn as much profit as you can people use everything legal on a big scale because they won't have a chance to beat competition otherwise. The really big ones even inve

Ok, so the solution would be to decentralize and distribute solutions to autonomous entities to reduce the size of the system that is directly involved (big system is still the source of money and strategic planning, like in most companies)

I agree. The main reason for over-population is the lack of enough wealth ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Income_and_fertility ) and I think this is important for the ongoing inheritance of poverty. 1. The systemic issue

While I think you are right about this comparison, I still believe the initial hypothesis is a good one: "Does anyone deserve to have a billion dollars?" No matter what the rest of the article tells us or asks (because there is ju

Ok thank you then for pointing that out and I agree that name-calling is unnecessary most of the times. In the case of Trump however I think he has become a figure of a certain way to think and act which is almost meme-esque. Of course we c

Exactly, TIFF is very popular because of the printing process. You don't need layers for that of course and under normal circumstances you'd export your layered file to a one-layer TIFF.

This attitude may give you some downvotes - BTW: Many people here are from the US and they usually react to criticism about their countries policy and leader in a bad way.

The relevant thing about 1984 is not the time by which this is "supposed to happen". The important give-away from the book is that when we (ppl of earth) allow our governments and the industry (in whatever form) to take that amoun
