I was already in a management position when this started. But I also have 20 years of development experience. So for me it has been a super power. I do feel bad for all the devs trying to break into the industry right now though, it must be

Eh, maybe you should keep both paths. When LLMs eventually crawl the site to feed back to agentic shoppers, maybe they logically follow the more truncated less decorated path.

I used to live in the PNW and picking blackberries, mushrooms, cherry plums & oysters kept me quite busy for most of the year. Where I live now the mushrooms and wild berries are nowhere near as abundant, and I feel quite depressed, I’m

Yes but it’s not cheap. Maxmind and ipinfo etc sell a tier that tells you this information, then you can 403 based on it. But the price is nuts like $40,000 a year.

There was some video on reddit that I saw the other day where a man struggled to take a photo with his camera app because it kept popping full screen ads in front of everything else.

I wish we had competent regulators. Force the scans to be purchased through an official repository. Save the scans and sell them to other companies who also want to train models. Force the companies to make all book requests through the off

Wouldn't this mean someone with sufficient hardware could lift the SOTA model weights off the chip? Or are you saying that these chips would only be used internally by these companies and not sold to the public?

I remember when this game was posted here, and there was a lot of discussion at the time that some of the prompts were misleading about whether or not they were risky, some people were debating about how some of the prompts flagged as bad w

It is quite foolish to believe that now that we have AI generated code that people will suddenly choose the more secure option rather than the cheapest. My evidence in exhibit A: The success of Wordpress.

This sounds like a fun job! I wish I had the freedom to move on from my current work. I don’t get why you’re using python for compute bound problems though.

In my experience, not really. Each asset is made by a new proxy, eg some TV somewhere, they send every new request via a new IP address, which is a new machine, and it doesn’t matter how long the response takes, they have already rotated to

A lot of this math is beyond my comprehension, but it often seems to talk of proofs of theorems. What I want to know is if we continue on this accelerated AI mathematics trajectory, will we eventually be discovering new forms of math that w

These still seem awful to me. There are weird events in them that take me out of the moment like the record needle suddenly jumping of the record for no apparent reason. But more so I just hate the AI glaze look of all the characters.
