One note on the article, though - if you're camouflaged in the dessert , that's pretty obscure.

This is analogous to saying it would be impossible to have an effective federal government if what people say is somehow exempt from their oversight. That would be a giant loophole. Which, true, is in fact an argument often made. Software e

Even Latin, if you use enough languages with enough diacriticals. Or want to code in APL. Or use Greek letters when typing math.

In A.I. War (book by Daniel Keys Moran), Trent uses a "custom 240-point Unicode board" to code in SuperLISP, which originally put the idea in my head. I asked Moran about this. He made it up whole cloth. No such keyboard exists. O

Maybe not for 450 keys (!), but I would dearly love to be able to type all the diacritical marks and at least select Unicode ranges (Cyrillic and Greek). It's been a really low-priority desire (I won't dignify it with "need

Given HUD still hasn't released the relief funds for Maria in 2017, I'm not holding my breath on any other help coming here. There was an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. set in San Juan, though. So now there's something els

"Sending federal agents to help localities is not uncommon." Sending them against the express will of the localities, however, is probably illegal.

As a 53-year-old Perl developer (my CPAN handle is MICHAEL, I'm that old), I freakin love Vue. I haven't done paid work with Perl since the 90's. Now I'm glad I haven't. I use it for my private work because it does

If the spark literally jumps across between the leads of the resistor before the capacitor charges fully, it is bad design, and not a standard feature. Once I insulated around it so it could do what it was supposed to do, the zapper worked

When Hurricane Maria hit us in 2017, we lost power for two weeks (we were extremely lucky in that - we were among the first 4% of the island to regain power due to our proximity to a hospital). During those two weeks, my entire lifestyle
