The Surface Laptop is also 3:2 [1] and I absolutely love it. Proper laptop unlike the Pro (tablet). [1] https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/surface-laptop/p/90f...

I thought the same thing but I switched from a MacBook running Bootcamp to the new Surface Laptop and I actually prefer the latter. It's absolutely phenomenal. Microsoft is kicking ass lately and WSL lets me do all the Linux stuff I ne

Yep, my VR machine is an ASUS laptop with a 1070 in it because my desktop runs older cards in SLI, which isn't supported. I'm sure it cost less than their MacBook.

I can pay for the bus here in Portland with it. That's pretty nice. Outside of that and McDonald's though, I haven't seen many places that support NFC.

What kinds of bugs? It's been pretty bulletproof for me, including playing 4K content. I love that my 4K TV has the Plex app built into it from the factory.

Maybe 100 years ago. I don't know anyone or even heard of anyone with a maid. The closet thing is paying someone to come clean your house once or twice a month for an hour or two and that's pretty inexpensive.

Alexa can control your Fire TV but yes, I agree. I have a Chromecast built into TV and I use Google Home to play music, Plex, YouTube, etc. on it. So nice.

The usage of "Plex" also confused me as to what this was.

Waze data does show up in Google Maps. If you click on one of the hazards or whatnot in Google Maps, it'll often say it was reported via Waze.

It's a bit of a hack but I run Waze in the background when I'm doing navigation via Google Maps. It'll play a sound at me when I exceed the speed limit and it'll warn me about upcoming road hazards (and cops!).

Do you ever manage to get where you're actually trying to go though? ;) In all seriousness, I've found Apple Maps search to be absolutely horrendous, either missing places or having them in the wrong spot.

100% of new construction where I live in Oregon uses underground power lines. It's easy to do when you're putting in first time infrastructure. Super expensive to do it for existing housing though.
