One thing's for sure: No application should be allowed to have a menubar item without a ToolTip. WTF, that should have been obvious from day one. At the moment, I have 11 of them on my system (not counting the clock), a mix of third-pa

The pissing and moaning about "bezels" is cacophonous in certain echo chambers. It's sad to see Apple taking cues from a minority group of infantile users, but that's one way we got here.

That's not really defensible as an excuse, especially considering Apple's grooming of users to believe that they never need to quit applications. All Apple had to do was add a "more" indicator at the end of the area, at

Yeah, because I want to junk up my car with all that crap. You're just admitting that your "thin, elegant" Apple product becomes a Christmas tree of dongles to make it practical.

It's just like Apple to create a problem and then have to implement an overly-complicated and flawed "solution."

Then they're not paying attention to how little of the pad they actually use, and the irritating-as-hell spurious presses that can cost you several minutes (or more) of work. There's nothing like filling out a form (or comment) on

The Surface is a tablet. I don't know one person who has a touchscreen computer. It's a dumb way to work: not only impractical because your finger is too crude of a pointing device and your hand blocks your view of what you'r

You say that now. And yet Apple now forces you to use shitty Bluetooth headphones to listen to its most popular music player.

And then everyone will realize that it's stupid shit, like the embarrassing emoji bar on Jony Ive's MacBook "Pro."

It's totally pointless, because the trackpad is already a touch device... and you use it to manipulate a precise cursor that doesn't block your view of what you're working on.

They'll say it sucks ass, and they'll be right. Touchscreen computers have failed for a reason. Then again... so did "transparent" UI, which Apple just exhumed.

And here we are, and the Pencil STILL doesn't work on the defectively oversized trackpads on Apple laptops. So... we're talking about more than one blunder here.

What an absurd attitude. The gymnastics to avoid circular inclusions alone are something nobody should be giving a thought to in the 2000s. "But headers are perfectly fine to deal with and have been for decades and decades!" I wou

Thanks. It's been a long time since I started a C++ project, and I've never set up any build chain in Visual Studio or Xcode other than the default.

As long as programmers still have to deal with header files, all of this is lipstick on a pig.

I almost never expand an application to be full-screen, even on my laptop. This despite the fact that I'll resize an application's window to fill the whole screen except for the dock. I think that's why I don't maximize

This seems like good advice. To this day I haven't explored spreadsheets or variable sets, which makes resizing stuff a giant pain in the ass. This is an area where FreeCAD really needs work: scaling stuff.
