He didn't say anything at all about OP's ability to read the article. "bold assertions" clearly refers to the 3 points he lists and you seem to be deliberately misreading. OP made some very bold claims about how Google w

Unless the Python is actually interacting with that hardware you should be able to get along much better with Windows' Linux subsystem or a VM still.

It looks like it should, there's an installer here: https://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/pythonlibs/ But there's also a bug here: https://github.com/uploadcare/pillow-simd/issues

Interesting, I wonder if it beats VIPS yet. VIPS page says they beat Pillow-SIMD 4.3.0 by a tad: https://github.com/jcupitt/libvips/wiki/Speed-and-memory-use Pillow-SIMD's page says it beats VIPS: https

Yeah, this product makes no sense for me as a subscription. Up until the $150 mark there's nothing I see that shouldn't be doable on a standard home desktop machine in a reasonable amount of time. This would make more sense to me

I understand what you're saying and while those things might be able to cause tension, I don't think that anything "embarrassing" could be a risk to national security.

That's a good start but do you have a partnership with anyone that can provide storage with free/low cost bandwidth to your service? Even Direct Connect is ridiculously expensive compared to transit.

Oh I never do forget. I currently colocate and buy transit and it's blindlingly obvious to me how much of a ripoff cloud egress is. Even their "direct connect" services cost more than my transit does.

Your pricing page notably omits transfer pricing. Do you have free bandwidth between yourself and AWS/GCP/Azure or do you peer at any major exchanges? Getting the data into and out of compute services is the most difficult part fi

> GDPR has significant scope to enable DDOSing of commercial organisations with information requests Another way of looking at it is that it adds significant incentives for organizations to make user data more easily accessible to users.

We really are. It seems crazy that Australian banks had contactless phone payment apps (that actually worked pretty much everywhere) before Google and Apple.

Are you Australian? I don't think you understand what happened. The change wasn't removing signing as a requirement, it was removing signing as an _option_. It hadn't been a requirement in years (decades?). When I was working

My point is why are they subject to a corporate income tax on income earned and already taxed abroad? The US government hasn't supported that income.

Why? Why should they pay US tax on money earned abroad? They've paid tax to the local government where sales were made, why does the US get a cut too?

I can't wait for people to stop expecting that putting #!/usr/bin/env python at the top of their scripts will lead to python2 being used.

I disagree with most of this. Democracy is merely a form of government. People can be free and not democratically governed. Yes a functional society must have laws but say you have two societies with the same set of laws, one generated by d
