Unfortunately I've run into bugs where services provided by the kernel (encryption key management) work on distributions without systemd but break on distributions with systemd. There definitely is bad too.

Could this legally be construed as creating a derivative work under copyright law? As a site owner, could I prosecute Comcast for infringing on my rights by altering the content of my pages?

Could we stop turning HN into a Bitcoin ticker? It feels like every day we get a "Bitcoin reaches $X" post and it's getting old. It's certainly not newsworthy. If there's something concrete that _causes_ Bitcoin to

I no longer live in Australia and as long as you have this debt, you're required to file an Australian tax return. I paid it off to get rid of that hassle. Also it used to be that voluntary payments got you a discount.

This I can deal with, everyone else has been supporting this for ages. The bigger question for me is whether Apple will support AV1 like the rest of the industry or skip over it like they did with VP9.

I get where you're coming from and I see that Orville is deliberately trying to be different, often in a good way but even taking later episodes into account, I think this one really stands out in a bad way. > They SHOULD have lost

You basically summed up my experience with episode 3 as well, but I finished the episode and decided to give it one more chance. Episode 4 is a better episode to judge it on I think so I'd encourage you to give it one last chance. 3 ha

My main problem is that, driven by emotion, the crew attempted to make a _logical_ argument, substantially based on fallacy ("these other species don't have this attribute you claim you have, so you mustn't either"). The

As someone who was in a similar situation: - I'd skip episode 3. Maybe come back to it later. It's the episode that nearly put me off the series. I think 4 is a fairer episode to judge it by. - It's not a parody of Star Trek

Odd, that was the episode that just about made me drop the series. The crew of the Orville was driven by emotion, barely took any time to consider the aliens' point of view, didn't seek any evidence for either side's position

It's definitely got more of a Star Trek feel now but early on it was pretty bad. "About a Girl" just about made me drop it. Without spoiling it too much, a crew member on the Orville had a family dispute that boiled down to a

The theoretical advantage of representative democracy is that the average voter doesn't have the time or knowledge to make decisions on the vast majority of issues, while an elected representative can spend 100% of their time ensuring

Yep, you can buy a Neo-6M with breakout board and antenna for $5 and hook it up to a Raspberry Pi without much trouble. Software can be fiddly but I found this guide to be helpful: http://www.satsignal.eu/ntp/Raspberry-
