#36 asked "A person's political affiliation would influence how you think about:" If it is possible I really want to see this broken down by political views of the respondent. I feel like that would be a really good data poin

My current understanding of the idea of white privilege is that white men have structural advantages so that it is easy for them to succeed. Part of this is being unaware of the privilege and having the luxury of not having to notice things

I think this mindset is part of what the poster is asking about. It seems like you are celebrating the pulling down of white men instead of being sad we cannot elevate everyone else to phycological safety.

Tl;dr Since employers cannot ask about criminal history, they use stereotypes to make there decision instead. Studies show the stereotype filtering leads to worse outcomes for PoC. I came here to say this, thank you for finding the souce.

I'm not sure how you made the jump from race-blind admission to need-blind... I agree that more would need to be done than just saying "anyone can apply" but I don't think that the University should be doing most of the

I think you raise sever good points. The past did contain city planning that was racist and had redlining. Those are past problems that do need some form of correction and I would support correcting them if you have specific actionable idea

I think you are on the right track to try to develop a better vocabulary about racist attitudes. But it needs to be more nuanced than the Racism/racism distinction you draw. Lets flesh out the pricing algorithm example. Lets say a home

I see humility as having a proper understanding of your own ability without arrogance. If I am at Thanksgiving dinner and my mom tries to brag that I am the best programmer in the state it is humble to correct her in saying that even though

The part the I think was closest to the truth is that the Midwest does not have a strong collective culture like the East, South, West, or Southwest. They are much more likely to identify as part of their state or city more than the Midwest

Redfin and Zillow might have beat you to it but real estate has a lot of old-fashion practices. I think there is a lot of space in that industry to improve. One anecdote I have a friend (~30) who works in real estate appraisal. He says the
