Yeah but then why do you have to listen to any courts at all? EPA brings a lawsuit, you just ignore it. As far as I know without the courts they could just be arrested by local police for trespassing if they actually try to enforce anything

Rare? It's in almost everyone who gets the vaccine. I don't have a direct citation, but I don't think it's generally doubted, though it's not something that's easy to do a direct controlled test on.

Polio can and does mutate almost instantly around the vaccines, but since some of the vaccines are live polio anyway people don't really care. "Mutation" is not really a word that matters, what matters is if a variant is caus

Yes that is correct, it's pretty easy to create escape variants in the lab. I don't think people should be doing it with virus like HIV and SARS, but they do.

I probably could write something, but HIV is an epidemiologist's game at this point, and I honestly think the epidemiologists want to say HIV can't transmit in ways that the Hepatitis B virus, a DNA virus, has clearly been demonst

I don't think I am, in the provirus state you can think of it as essentially a DNA virus in an inert state, and if the DNA fragments the right way it would turn into something similar to a bare DNA vaccine. That design of vaccine essen

I don't buy U=U, I've not seen a proper impossibility proof re. provirus mutation. There's probably infections drowned out against the background rate.

Yeah, or just not "engage" with anyone. Manage risk, assume unknown or not completely trustworthy = positive.

I don't think you can phase out AVX2, it's the base of AVX512, because you can't always go 512 wide, and you'd have no backwards compatibility.

Several of the CPU side channel attack demos look like that too. The speed could probably be improved in weaponization but currently you can watch the ASLR defeat routine, with a percentage and everything just like you said.

I'm not sure how long ungoogled-chromium could keep something like that, possibly not long. How Google changes code has to be at least partially intentional.

How's laser launch research come since the 1970s? It's probably limited to launching metal hardware, but when the cost of a space elevator is compared to making a bunch really big lasers and putting them radially around some mirro

I've seen improvement numbers up to 12x, but after that the returns are so diminishing that there's not really a point. 12x on training costs I mean, probably still won't get AGI.

Maybe. On Intel's scale almost everything you do wrong kills people, at least statistically. Though, so does everything you do right, but probably less. How many human lifetimes were spent cleaning up and mitigating the microarchitectu

Essentially MWI, but you can say the other worlds are "not real" if you like. Decoherence is continuous, so either you come up with a (somewhat arbitrary) threshold or say reality is continuous as well.

The end-to-end latency is horrible with 30fps. Move your mouse and you can feel the lag. In theory you can over-render the sides of the screen and move the rendered image around with the mouse but almost no one does that.

AIXItl is a formally described AI. Not an AI you'd want, and not an AI you could really build, but it's there.
