Oh, this e-reader has lots of productivity features. You can highlight words (which are later stored in a separate folder), make bookmarks, easily translate words, use screen reader, etc. I use it mostly for work and academic papers, not fo

Well I guess that could help, but only on Windows, since it's the only OS which follows printer "installation" flow for driverless printers. Other OS just discover printer all the time, and for that they need DNS-SD as well,

Most people can't comprehend that. "If it's available publicly online and has a readme, it's DEFINITELY was created for me and for all other users, right?" This is so common, to the point that it's a FOSS misco

But that's another issue: developers make software for themselves vs "digital public goods for everyone". UI/UX (which the article is about) is part of the broader approach.

I read until "gVisor, system call emulation" and though that this is some kind of IP-KVM project port to RTOS or microcontroller or something other thing which reuses Linux code but does not run Linux.

It's kind of solved since kernel 6.1 with MGLRU, see above. Dirty buffer should also be tuned (limited), absolutely. Default is 20% of RAM, (with 5 second writeback and 30 second expire intervals), which is COMPLETELY insane. I limit i
