How well does text conversion work for joined handwriting? All the examples I've seen appear to use carefully segmented handwriting, which is a bit of a red flag to me. Bonus points if someone could answer this for languages other than

Kotlin provides pretty nice syntax sugar for that: num.coerceIn(min..max) That's it. This human reader finds it considerably more readable. It also has coerceAtLeast and coerceAtMost

Corporations are also theoretically accountable - you don't have to buy an iPhone if you don't like what Apple is doing. Are there clear practical limitations to how customers can exert pressure on corporations that way? Limitatio

With modern monitors being as large as they are already, I'd say the need for a vertical monitor is likely an indication you're working with spaghetti code.

Has it really changed that much in 10 years, or is part of it just the sense of alienation everyone experiences getting out of jail after a long time? I mean, 10 years ago people lamented over the exact same thing; and before that, and be

I don't think it depicts (conveys, draws from?) a specific stereotype. It's just self-disparaging humour. There's an opposite self-stereotype, captured by the phrase "Polak potrafi" (a Pole can do it), which actuall

I'm a quite fast typist, typing at around 120-130 WPM (on short distances obviously) when using QWERTY. This skill is lost if I switch to a new layout. I once tried switching to CarpalX. I was able to get to about 80-90 WPM - it had in

The code it generates leaves a lot to be desired. It's highly non-idiomatic, and has the marks of a computer-generated structure all over it. This being said, it certainly facilitates the transition from Java to Kotlin as it makes for

A non-native speaker here - what does "debacletacular" mean? The word only has a few hits on Google. I understand it's a neologism of sorts, a conflation, but what's the meaning? I'm guessing "a spectacular deb

This is how one goes about understanding (or extracting a meaning from) a point. By poking at it with scepticism and watching how it holds up to scrutiny.
