You mean, like in the next two sentences? First "what this isn't": > "If the app is requesting any kind of repository, organization, or enterprise permission (read or write) then the note still appears." And then

Not sure how regulation helps when you have a Congress and/or Supreme Court willing to ignore it, alas.

"Has been set," not "will be set". We've been operating under the new scheme for months. Despite Powell's protestations, there was no evidence for cutting rates, and lots of evidence for doing the opposite. Unf

Our corporate IT managed to enable that setting for everyone, which made the transition easier. Doesn't stop people from overriding it, alas.

Don't tax land , because that will force homeowners to prematurely sell and move into cardboard boxes on the street. Tax gains when selling at a higher rate.

For some users, preventing downgrades to an insecure version is a better product since it protects against evil maid attacks. (Although ideally they would itself trap that functionality behind a fuse, so you have to opt-in but can't

Pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and doctors are free to charge like that. But if I'm using insurance, it's irrelevant; that's the price to the insurer . It's the insurance company who determines the price I pay,

Health insurance in general is the problem; PBMs/discount cards are just a cherry on top. Insurance is fundamentally incompatible with clear and consistent pricing.

That it’s had either for “a long time”. Maybe once they’ve been there and working correctly for five years I’d feel that’s an accurate adjective.

Most games don't have that sort of licensed content to start with, so comparing to the total population of games isn't meaningful. Offering a perpetual license would limit the licensor's options (e.g. they could never offer s

Interesting idea. One note: sometimes after I connect two items it'll reselect the combined item, sometimes it won't. I'd prefer if it never did, but at least if it was consistent I could get used to having to click "Des

Heroic's cloud save support is flaky; I've had it upload saves to the wrong path so Galaxy on another machine can't download them. As for achievements, I wouldn't say it's had support for "a long time"; th

That’s the article’s assumption, although the new hardware has yet to announce its price so it’s yet to be seen how plausible the thesis is.

I save audiobooks for times when I couldn't have read something else - while doing chores, driving, etc. - so I can avoid that "missing out" feeling.

Election cycles are unfortunately too long for that to work. Would need to reduce office terms to 2-3 months for "vote them out" to be viable.

I'd argue the real issue with Terraform is that workspace orchestration is necessary in the first place. If they addressed the performance issues with large workspaces, then we wouldn't need to split up workspaces and Terraform co

Certainly no more than three tiers. "Traditional" three-tier, where you have a web server talking to an application server talking to a database server, seems like overkill; I'd get rid of the separate application tier. If
