That sounds pretty cool. What does the DNA file storage product look like? Will the customer receive like a vial of DNA? Sorry for my ignorance, I think that's a really interesting topic. I know its probably only visible under a micros

Your message is a little confusing to me because it seems like you're selling something for the moment (present), while the network is being built (short-term future), with most of the website instead focusing on unrelated and highly f

Maybe an experienced senior front-end dev would know most of that. But lets be real here. Most of us started out by learning how to get notepad.exe to save .html files and trying out a tag or two. It's a good resource but I'd be l

Whenever I've been contacted by a recruiter they make out like cooperating with them is as good as receiving a job offer when none of them have any authority over hiring. It's like why mislead people like that? The biggest problem

I'm glad that exchanges are starting to take security more seriously. But the security of cold wallet funds is much easier to maintain. The issue here with centralization and hot wallets is that funds have to sit on publicly accessible

Looks like another overly simple blockchain article. The author lists a bunch of reasons why someone might want to use a private ledger and then dismisses all of them without any argument. Here's a whole bunch of reasons why private le

That's exactly it. We take it for granted that in simpler human-run ledgers accountability is easier to do. Accounting has all these checks and balances designed to place blame on a single individual. Corporations obscure some of that

I think this is going in the right direction. You take a bunch of tamper-proof hardware devices from different manufacturers and then model attack costs to compromise them as part of a proof-of-stake scheme. Now you can build consensus algo

I see a lot of people here making the mistake of thinking that IPFS is a file storage system that splits up content among a decentralized, shared network when it's not. If I have a file and "store" it on IPFS - that file sits

Good luck ever getting in the zone if you do anything with modern blockchains (especially Ethereum.) All of the documentation is terrible and you waste hours trying to find a bug only to realise it was a problem with the library all along..

I don't know how helpful this will be OP: but thinking about problems in your domain and writing about your solutions is a good way to establish competence. It's the difference between organic leads vs active advertising. The form

This is a very complicated way to explain TX malluability. It'd say that the problem is that signatures only sign a portion of the transaction and the resulting TXID that is used in the blockchain is based on hashing the entire transac

Okay, lets argue that a blockchain is simply a data structure to create a linked list of hashes... Do you know what's part of that data structure as defined in the original paper: the format of a new block hash (how many zeros it has.)

The psychology aspect is a part that's the most impressive. You have incentives -- everybody likes money -- and proof-of-work -- consensus that solves the byzantine generals problem. But if you combine them all to produce a new trustle

This is a really twisted take on blockchains. The whole point behind a blockchain is that cryptoeconomic incentives serve as an additional security function which is better than relying on generosity alone to contribute hashing power. So wh

So ah... where's the part where you implement a working blockchain, again? There's no proof-of-work, consensus logic, currency logic, accounting logic, peer-to-peer networking code, etc. Instead this is just a list of hashed-linke

This is the same problem that BitHalo has (in my opinion.) But the escrow step for Bitsquare is done with multiple third-party mediators instead of between the users. This has problems of its own because now you have to trust that the media
