"... a $150-200 media center like Apple TV with no gaming capability" I think "media centers" in the form you speak of are becoming more and more irrelevant with the emergence of smart TVs and those <$75 HDMI sticks t

I'm in my mid 20's, but most of the people I talk to are between 20 and 27 years old. Dancing clubs aren't very common here, but that seems like a great place to socialize. Maybe it's an age thing or maybe it's a lo

I probably should have made my disassociation with the norms of my generation more clear. I am 25 years old and most of my friends are in their early 20’s or even very late teens, but I feel like I don’t quite fit in amongst my peers someti

A nice looking picture with no profile text tells me a lot. It tells me that the profile is either fake or that the person is only there to boost their own ego by receiving messages. Either way, it tells me that there's no point of sen

Spot on. Many manufacturers use extended OBD (UDS protocol) commands to handle specific tasks. Sometimes the DIDs (requestable variables) get "discovered" by reverse engineering the dealership's software (or other third party

While the electrical grid as a whole may be able to handle the load, can the average US residential service? My house has a 100A 240V service which is barely adequate as it is. I’m sure it could handle a single EV if I charge it overnight,

> Problem 2: Rapid charging is actually not so rapid, highway re-charging stations will have to be much larger than current gas stations Shift your thinking! Electric cars won't be charged at gas stations like gas cars of the past.

100ps resolution timestamps? That's crazy impressive. I wonder how they accomplished that. It seems unlikely that there is a 10GHz clock that they're using to timestamp asynchronous events, but who knows. My reference is the fact

Or when you find a thread where someome is asking the question and the only response is by some wise guy telling him to "search". And of course, searching keeps pointing you back to the same thread.
