Good thing Perl 6 was created and has a fantastic multi threading story. https://docs.perl6.org/language/concurrency https://youtu.be/l2fSbOPeSQs

This is sadly very true, especially if you have any real software training.

Right... but the engineer who leaves still made that extra money with a good offer. They just had to follow through on leaving. So what happens is everyone immediately finds and accepts a better offer. This is quite literally what happened

Its worse than a pandemic because its across so many species simultaneously. Imagine if a flesh eating fungus was killing all mammals around you. What would be the human response to this? It would be a lot stronger than quarantine. We would

That still implies you read the book at some point to share it. Successful management career paths you end up not even knowing if you're sharing the book or movie version of a story you only had the blurb for.

Not sure I agree with the first premise. If the technology was relatively safe and robust you could just routinely "edit" all births with a package of corrections for all known rare genetic diseases. There are several hundred well

+1 for Perl 6 shout out. Also there are increasingly nice things for use with Postgres like https://github.com/CurtTilmes/perl6-dbpg with https://github.com/FCO/Red

It sort of is related to being in between though. It's that their complexity is high. Which is essentially at the phase transition between high and low entropy states of matter. Cells regulate a system full of energy to keep themselves

Also worth keeping in mind just how fast the motion really is. That whole clip happens in 15 micro seconds.

None of those doors are closed. Its just people become financially and time constrained. Usually by starting a family not by writing software.

Yeah absolutely you need a society. But now you're into the realm of arguing by degree of contribution to some effort. At that point there are probably more plants, bacteria and fungi by number of individual organisms or biomass I woul

GMO crops for example are usually quite small changes, frequently genetically less drastic and more controlled than selective crossing of plants to achieve a similar outcome. Sort of like the difference in risk of switching from a bread kni

You're not meant to take my comment too seriously either >;3 But I am quite serious there is rarely a "collective" human ingenuity. It's a tiny fraction of the population who have created almost anything of large scal

Yeah this is actually a major reason everyone should at least know or use some perl. macOS is a popular dev environment but the quirky macOS/BSD versions of grep and sed are super annoying for portable build scripts.

Sure but selection only works on events that have happened. Loss of function isn't that common especially if the benefit of the gene is resistance to flu, which is far more important than improved memory on an evolutionary scale. Purgi

That was 5 months ago. A lot happens in this space in two weeks let alone half a year. Rakudo is released monthly still, with quarterly(ish) distribution releases. An example bit of insight: https://github.com/rakudo/

It's more very tight semantic alignment across the entire stack of abstractions. Which is actually the important part, things like a "string" being the same conceptual object from top to bottom.

At least until it hits the turtle bedrock at the end of your system memory. Oh maybe you need the inner one to be a lambda of defaultdict actually, then it will. turtles = lambda: defaultdict(turtles) some_autoviv_variable = def
