The idea of editing already-published blog posts is unappealing to me, in case someone bookmarks or saves a link to my article before it was edited. Unless I make it clear what content was edited and when (more work!), the reader might be c

What are the kind of people your startup looks for when hiring? I would have thought that you'd be hiring experienced developers who would not need to dedicate time to learn things like Golang, and who could hit the ground running.

Being able to compose a good query is still relevant I think! My peer once asked me for help with a mathematical problem, for which they could not find help online - after not much searching I could find a relevant page, given the same info

Fair enough! Considering the LCD vs CRT comparison video game graphic posted elsewhere in the thread, you're probably right.

I meant cleaning up the scanlines to make it easier to sample the pixel colors. After running a Fourier transform you only need to paint over the obvious bright spots to remove these regular artefacts (see the linked article for a demonstra

After using the scanlines to determine the grid size, I bet you could apply a pass of some filter in the frequency domain to remove the artefacts created by the CRT screen! Like here [1], where the author removes a moiré pattern created by

I doubt the USB data lines on a portable charger are connected to anything. When did you last update the firmware for your charger?

This is unrelated to the article, but you presumably see ads outdoors? I hate it how the most interesting things to look at on the subway are advertisements. I should try to purposefully not look at them. I have a book with me a lot of the

Did your timetable/coursework schedule allow you to audit a meaningful number of external courses? I find that I can only allow myself to attend one additional course per semester. I STUPIDLY started going to lectures on Computer Syste

An iterative Python call to a recursive LLM prompt? ;) Why not make the Python part recursive too? Or better yet, wait until an LLM comes out with the capability to execute arbitrary code!

Is it socially acceptable to post comments in code review as a non-participant? There are some really cool projects listed for the org that I worked for last year.

What's been holding this project back from being released on platforms other than Mac? I also wanted to say that it's amazing that you have these calendar slots for people to speak to you. What has your experience been with this?

The gifs look great, but it would be cool to see what this visualisation looks like with audio (ideally without having to join a discord server). Maybe the authors could choose a best-case-scenario audio track and use it as a demo. It would
