The "platform" that Twitter is restricting access to is a website, with a bunch of content put on it by users of that website. IANAL, but I don't see what rights to that data could possibly be claimed by a third party.

I'm not GP, but Aeris's death was a big deal because it happened after the player had invested several hours into playing her (and probably given her some nice items). This is one of the strengths of the form you're talking about.

If you never have to move a window out of the way in the course of what you're doing, then for you it's indeed not so great. But I think it's pretty common to do this. Also, I've worked on projects where Visual Studio or Eclipse took up the

There are two tools that come to mind. One is behavioral interviewing (which is also IMHO useful for interviewing technical candidates once you know they can code their way out of a paper bag): http://www.udel.edu/CSC/pdfs/behav_interview.

There is an advantage to the overconfidence described (from drugs, sleeplessness, or whatever) - if you are the sort to over-edit and second-guess yourself ( cough ), then it can help produce a first draft of something. It'll be a lousy fir

Here is the way I (not the GP) would make the case: at the time HTML was invented, we had e-mail, chat, bulletin boards, ftp sites, and news groups. You could download pictures and movies and music (although the bandwidth and processing dem

Scott Adams popularized this construction, which suggests that one's co-workers are likely to ork cows (but he didn't originate it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Adams#Coined_phrases ). EDIT: As far as I know, the definition of "ork" a

I would understand if the decision was that patents coming from federally-funded research couldn't be assigned to a third party. That could be a good idea! But if the conflict is between two recipients of that funding, I don't see how I as

That the possible market for Groupon is big is without dispute. The reason people aren't sure about its prospects is that their reach still pales next to that of Google, Amazon, eBay, Yahoo, etc., and they're still not doing anything that c
