Its the screen (size) that mattered. While screens make terrible input devices, for content consumption they are king. And that is the dividing line between blackberry/iphones. An argument can also be made for "boring busines

Not necessarily the first, but the earliest that I can remember: Decades ago (before they were sold/bought/sold), Opera (web browser/suite) used gestures as a navigation tool with your mouse. I never could figure out how to

I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't significant cross-over with this[0] observation of plant-roots growing faster when exposed to low-voltage electricity. [0] https://www.nature.com/articles/d44151-023-00162

That 5.7% number must be wrong. Ask anybody with a chronic medical condition. I've had uncountable number of doctor's visits including ER for 37 years before a proper diagnosis was made.

I will agree and disagree with this comment. In my experience, I find that it depends on the 'type/cause' of the pain. For soft-tissue related I find it helpful, while for hard-tissue related it does not. Here are my anecdote

I'm a diehard i3/sway fan. IMHO the 'desktop environment' is supposed to get out of your way. I'll admit that sometimes having a widget that makes it "easier" to connect to random wifi, or bluetooth devic

I know you put the caveat "mostly" in here but it's important to state that this is not always true. I was diagnosed with T2 a couple of years ago. During that time I was cycling 25 miles a day. After the diagnoses I complete

Want the HTTP status code for a server? ```alias hstat="curl -Lo /dev/null --silent --head --write-out '%{http_code}\n'" $1 #HTTP status code``` example: ```$ hstat google.com 200```

I liked using Wave. I ran RPG campaigns with/through it. It allowed both real-time interaction for "game nights" and play-by-email slower interactions that happened between gaming nights. Before Wave we used email only, and

If you use a 'pihole' or similar setup, change the default away from "127.0.0.1" to "NXDOMAIN".

This matches the (albeit goth {dark|dirty}/industrial) aesthetic of William Gibson Necromancer (and others), and Blade Runner. Given these all happened around the a similar period I'm not surprised. It's cool to see the thin

Use a 3rd party SMTP like sendgrid. Once you get on a shitlist it's almost impossible to get off of it.

I did not do the math at all correct. (I'm on vacation and apparently left most of my brain cells at home.) I stupidly counted: 9 planets total 2 "ocean" moons (Enceladus + Europa) + Earth = 3 bodies with water. 9 divided by
