Trampled by what? A stampede of equally qualified candidates? That's exactly my point. Also I'm not sure my point about food was clear. I'm saying give a poor family an extra $5k to spend for healthier food, and it could make

Spending on education/tuition is how middle-class Americans ensure the lower class ones stay down there. If spending on schooling was capped the way most things are capped then there would be much more competition for 'white-colla

The theme of the series is basically how societal power dynamics play out on a multi-millennial timescale. The author called the series Dune after he noticed that, from above, sand dunes form a wave pattern over the land, so suddenly some

Your characterisation is simply not supported by those quotes in their full context, as far as I am aware. Did you ever seek the context? Claim: OSC wants states to keep sodomy and anti-homosexual laws on the books. Quote in Context: The S

We don't need scientific studies to figure out what to eat. Just look at what has worked for millennia and avoid newfangled processed food.

Ratings on sovereign debt seem kind of irrelevant to me. I don't see why the agencies would have any sort of edge. But I agree one of the most dumfounding facts of the present situation are that these rating agencies are still in busin

Tobin Charney makes $400,000 a year out of his 131 trailers, some of which are little better than hovels. That sounds about right to me... I doubt anyone would consider it worth the hassle leasing 131 trailers if the income was say 100k.

The telltale sign of classicism in modern America is how the upper middle classes continue to put up with inflated college tuition fees. They're basically paying to keep the lower classes out.
