Anecdata: I play a silly amount of World of Tanks on PC (DX11), running the x86 Windows release through parallels on the Mac is significantly more performant than it is to run it on MacOS via the official codeweavers wine wrapper. This is l

I appreciate them publishing their setup - but I do find somethings questionable to my taste. But my taste is irrelevant, what's cool is that it works for them. I really love using my MX Master mice (I think I've had one of every

Intel’s naming convention on consumer parts is relatively easy to grok, as it’s been much more consistent for the last 12 years than their server/workstation parts. Breaking both down we have 3 things to take note of: i5/i7 - indi

They certainly do that in Europe too, but they also hard limit the output of the player. Even the balanced output, which should offer more power is limited to the same volume as the 3.5mm output.

One thing to note about Sony android players is that the European models have ferocious volume limits; neither having high gain mode, nor the grunt to drive more inefficient headphones in low gain mode. This appears to be set as a value in

Dolby S is a type of noise reduction that’s done in the deck, and actively works on the audio stream as it’s being written to and read from the tape. It’s best used with a high quality tape, but I believe it can be used with any of the 3 ma
