Please! You are the one who called lack of Facebook a "real problem". I merely pointed out that there are actual real problems. Sure, I agree that this is HN and that this is NOT the place to discuss actual real problems (the truly real

"Your comment isn't really useful :/ you're obviously an outlier. Most people would go insane if they couldn't access youtube or facebook." Facebook has 200 million users or so. The world has over 6 billion people. Hence, only 3% or so of

When I think of solving "real problems", I think of: - curing cancer - cheap water purification - vaccines for tropical diseases (the U.S. / European pharma companies have very little incentive to work on them) - energy-efficient desalinati

Maybe I am missing something obvious, but aren't logs and containers floating a foot below the surface also fatal for non-hydrofoil vessels?

Back when I worked as a programmer at a hedge fund, I would reply: "I teach computers how to steal money within the law." It's accurate. Sounds badass. And the ladies get enticed by the aura of mystery around it.

Once you're in the cockpit, all it matters is the performance. I would rather fly a MIG-21 than an F-4. But, of course, if I had enough money I would prefer to fly a SU-27 or an F-16, so that I could have the performance and the looks ;-)

Your analysis makes a lot of sense. But do NATO air forces other than the USAF have AWACS aircraft? I am not taking sides here, but do note that a soldier does what he is told. As far as I know, Zoltan did not murder any civilians. He was s
