What I don't understand is why the internet permission (one of the most dangerous permissions in my opinion) is assumed to be always requested and not even reported when downloading an app. Sure, most apps need it (most of them for ads

Thanks for the reply. I've tested it but I've been unable to make it to show notifications. I want the app to sync automatically each hour, and if there are unread articles show a notification, so I can simply click it and start r

I'm curious as to what is the user case here. If you are connecting to a server from a command line or similar you don't have a mouse, but you also don't (probably) have a ui. Other cases where your mouse is broken or damaged

For me, and I think the majority, memory is where you keep what your brain thinks that it will use again. If your job is to make and fix/tweak the style of a web page, and you do it practically everyday, you probably can make a pretty

So, if a free-to-use app suddenly becomes pay-to-use and all users lose their access to their data unless they pay (similar to an app getting malware but in a legal way), and then those users review with 1 stars...Google will remove those r

I think this is how Steam solved (or attempted to) with their store reviews. Now you can see two scores, the lifetime score and the recents score. In an ideal situation the app should show the 4. lifetime stars and the 1. recent stars. A us

If you need different profiles (like having different firefoxes installed, each with their own addons, themes, tabs, bookmarks, etc) you can use the built-in Profile manager [0]. I personally have a secondary profile for testing, with some

Don't worry, this is just the Google way: "act first, fix later". It's better to ban at the first sign of a problem, and then if something bad happened review and fix it. Nothing to worry about, they also expect this fro

I would say 'studying maths teachs you how to abstract problems' or 'computer science usually cares for the results, not the method' but that has been said a lot in other comments (and it's not exactly right). Inste

And perhaps the issue is on the current version, or in the play store description, which Google doesn't like or noticed now . That's right, sometimes you can't publish an update because the play store description, which was

That's correct. As long as you have the correct apk with the same signature as the one you already have installed you can update without issue (I've done it myself several times). The opposite also applies, if you install a signed

In a merge without conflicts (for example you edit one file and your friend edit another) a merge could be explained as simply pasting one folder into the other, but then you need to be careful to override only one of the two files. Merging

Hmm, I think I understand now. So now I think it's the first optimization the one that is wrong. If you replace a variable with another, don't you need to keep information of the original variable? I mean, if a==b and you do *

And I agree, with an UB the original code is undefined and so any optimization is not right nor wrong, simply keep that UB. But then, why such a long article for a code whose second line is a UB ('p+1' is undefined)?

I'm sorry but I don't fully understand the problem and that 'provenance' thing. For me the third optimization is the wrong one, for the same reason as this char i,j='0'; *(&i+1)='1'; cout

Personally when I visit a page I always turn off all the switchable cookies, it's really interesting to see how different pages force you to accept them, by obscuring the disable button, adding an "allow all and close" button
