Specific example aside, it really feels as if Google search returns are just a huge collection of edge case handling, to the point where the underlying product barely even works anymore.

The common thread is that scrum always prioritizes the time of the managers over the time of the people producing the work.

The thing you are complaining about is exactly why I like coming here. I want to hear about why the pithy headline and subsequent text is slightly wrong/incorrect. If you don't want to hear opinions about the article in questi

I suspect LLM's don't know this because most people don't know this, so the training data is largely absent this fact.

I'm realizing I probably should update my bio on here more than once every decade! Currently working full time in a related industry, so most of my AI experimentations are strictly on my own time these days. If anyone is interested in

Is this supposition, or actually the direction Langchain is headed?

Entirely notional as of now, but I plan on testing it for game development. The thought is, you could create an embedding of the lore, data, facts and state of your game world and then interrogate the LLM about this in various ways. I see t

I've run into this a few times with Apple. It's not that the upgrade is explicitly not allowed by policy. It's just that things are broken in ways which prevent you upgrading/using the device properly. I don't know

The prices are bad enough, but what really seals the deal is the forced obsolescence. I have an older macbook that I was trying to upgrade to the newer OS and they make it basically impossible. I struggled for a few days on it, then I just

Eh, one of the primary value props of good youtube channels is the authenticity. I think this will be a tougher nut to crack for AI than most.

I think large companies have a huge disadvantage in this area due to reputational risk that the startups don't have to really worry about to the same extent.

Yes, however, one of those failures was due to a flaw that remained basically unsolved for the entirety of the shuttle program. That puts things in a different light, no?

Sure, but thanks to bad behavior by the rest of the industry, Steam is still looked at very favorably by consumers in contrast.

Yeah, I would pick up another book in the series. Consider Phlebas is set in the same universe but almost seems like a different genre.

Here's the issue: whether you use a traditional index based search, or GPT...you are going to be consuming AI generated content. Either at the page level or the synthesis level, or both.

Out of all the theoretical propulsion systems, THIS is pretty much the only one that we know would work without novel (made up) physics like negative energy, etc. In fact, I don't really think we'd need new/novel technology t
