Androids physical menu button let you get to all the options regardless of the app you were using. I really miss that.

It was a game. The sanity checks were added and workarounds were formed...

Sounds good to me. Let me input multiple questions but only send one at a time after a response is given. (Maybe hinted to me later, not automatically sent)

I was thinking about doing the same after I saw the parent. But just because you and I can does not mean everyone can.

I associate rural activities with increased wellbeing. Living in or visiting nature. I also associate guns with rural activities. I wonder how those states correlate with gun control. Suicidal thoughts are often strong but momentary. If t

Humans are really bad at estimating time. So it may just be consistently bad time estimation born out of optimism. The solution is still to double the amount of time you expect things to take so that you're closer to the mark.

Funny story, but you are right. I've never given a souvenir check. It's been a long time since I was a kid.

Your comment makes me want to argue both sides. It does should like they are offering more than the other payment methods, but the idea that a company should "tell customers that they shouldn't send money to strangers" really

Bingo, and I checked hacker news at least 10 times more than I would have just to see how many points I got for the above comment. I also spent way too much time carefully constructing the comment. 13 points, which is more than most of my r

I find the comments that rant against social media on hacker news amusing. Hacker news is a social media website. "Hacker News is a social news website focusing on computer science and entrepreneurship." [0] It's the same as

My guess would be that IT would block streaming to reduce load and/or internet connection cost. Especially if you have a lot of people in the building.

I saw a clever idea on the internet for #1. Get two dish washers. One is always clean, one dirty. Eliminating the need to unload and put away dishes.

S Voice by Samsung, found on the Gear S3. It's a watch with a full color screen and a cell modem, an amazing bit of hardware. Voice command does not work well at all though. I would love having Google Now on it.

I could see a computer calculated life expectency with weight loss as an option to increase it. Being told you are fat is not a good reason to loose wight. People probably already know they are fat. Maybe there are other reasons that could

Body armor is heavy and obvious, especially in warm climates. I don't think it would start an arms race. You would only wear it when you are attacking or expecting an attack. Not to mention it only protects your chest/back.

It depends on how far away, and what you were shot with... vests are designed to block hand guns, not rifels. It may not stop every bullet. A larger hand gun, say 50cal, has more recoil and is harder to aim with sequential shots, thus not p

An invasion is unwelcome. More accurately people are paying for the device and inviting the company into their home. As long as the guest does not break the trust of the host, they will be allowed to stay.

Idiosyncrasies is the wrong word. The problem is that the watch is dependent on the phone for notifications. If the phone is off the watch will not get notifications for Gmail or Google Voice. I can setup the regular mail client but the I g

Yeah, social media is just too easy to use (and free). When people take the time to make a website, they often commercialize it, then it's not really a personal website anymore.
