Isn't this entirely unrelated to twitter though? This is just Strike's value proposition right? What does twitter add to this? Also, is the claim about fees really true? If you look at Strike's FAQ on fees it says it passes a

I feel like this thousand feet overview probably loses a lot of detail. Often when someone says "Intel" is using something that means out of a company of 100,000 people about 3 people in Oregon are playing with it. Like, really wh

How would you describe the difference between branches and forks? Functionally I can create a new branch, do my changes, get tests passing and PR from there, or I can fork master, do my changes, get tests passing and PR.

I think the core observation that teams are best allowed to adapt to their own situation is a good one. One thing I want to take on though is this: > “Kitchen sink teams” which have everything thrown at them, typically find that managing

I find this fascinating, because Tesla is meant to be able to completely autonomously drive a vehicle, so it knows how to drive safely, so what you would expect is just running the self-driving programme and getting it to judge how safe t

This is really interesting - as the basic worker regulations that Uber have tried to avoid catch up with them they could face these liabilities in all sorts of different markets. For non-UK readers, it's standard that all employers mus

One of the problems with going primarily on past experience (and I've seen this happen a few times) is that there are some people who have a skill of just sort of hanging around whilst other people do the work. They can talk your ear o

As I said in the other reply, this is wrong. Only the gain is accounted for as income, not the capital. So you basically have two scenarios - you have huge capital and a small gain, in which case you should pay your damn tax. Or you have sm

No, only the gain is income, the value of the stock is not. In your example you would need your stock to have gained 350k and to sell it all. You could sell 349k this year and pay nothing, and 1k next year and pay nothing.

I'm sure the actual numbers are a bit different, but taking what you said literally - at $150k salary you're taking home $100k after taxes. At $250k salary you're taking home 160k after taxes. So it's not quite as simple
