Surely this is something you can do with simple searches...? Unless you're reaching the level of trying to buy dozens or hundreds of movies. https://xkcd.com/1205/

This seems like a very good way for them to get more training data that they're hungry for after ingesting everything from the web.

I remember custom GPTs also being touted as the "app store moment" for ChatGPT. OpenAI even had big plans to pay creators of custom GPTs, but it seems like that never really materialized. I think people quickly realized that custo

I tried it out on macOS and have a 1440p external monitor that the fonts just look horrible on. Looks fine on the laptop's "retina" display but blurry enough every else that it actually gave me a headache after a few hours.

Yes, some people do not see the light. Ever since starting to rely on prettier + format on save, I can just bang out code and focus more on content than formatting and let it handle everything for me. Speed multiplier.

I would say it's a success, yes - it was great for quickly scaling up a theoretical product with a small engineering staff (just me lol). Now that the product has matured, we've had to slow down significantly since we have a ton o

This is a security patch which is different from the QPR1 release. _Supposedly_ once they partner with an OEM they will get more reliable access which would be nice, but I'm hesitant. I switched my Pixel 8 Pro to Graphene a few months

Supposedly Graphene is partnering with a major OEM (they say "one of the top 10") to get better hardware support. Even then they're still at the whim of Google, though - the most recent QPR1 update still has not been pushed t

We tried this as a bit of an experiment - not quite greenfield but a fork and modification of an existing project. I was a solo dev going brrrr with no code review, using Cursor to make pretty sweeping changes and implement full features. I

When I first tried out Prettier back in the 2010s, I was immediately hooked on the idea of using an opinionated formatter. We had constant arguments about formatting, and our many JS codebases were a complete disaster as they had been wor

I host Immich in Hetzner (VPS w/ attached 1TB storage box) and connect to it using Tailscale which works pretty flawlessly on my phone. It's great, although the VPS is pretty slow and I might move to a home server at some point. I

You can import your iCloud photos into Immich. Immich itself is agnostic to the photos and mostly just operates on folders of files. https://github.com/simulot/immich-go is what I used to import ~300gb of photos from

My main use of Google Wallet is to pay for the bus where I live, but we do have physical cards that I can also get. I do use it at the store sometimes but I also always have my physical wallet on me, so that's not a big deal.
