No major flight paths over me - the variation in number of planes flying daily is interesting - no contrails == blue sky. Some days 10+ planes before noon - then cloudy. Doesn't matter what time of year or day of week. Just my observat

They provided subscription free access to a local rate number And most [Well at that time really just BT or Cable/Wireless] telcos gave you free local calls. You just had to make sure you wasn't connected for more than an hour. I

It's not that easy. The peak at that European time is due to people getting home to unrestricted Internet access - which means their device can phone home and update. I don't believe in coincidences ;)
