That's right. Just like current macOS is not "Unix-like" or a descendant of Unix, but an actual Unix operating system, modern birds are actual dinosaurs. Wikipedia quote: Birds are feathered theropod dinosaurs and constitute

Why does it have to be poison? Wouldn't having an airport nearby be a blessing for anyone with solar panels on their roof? Just like an industrial zone, it'd be a nonstop load ready to buy from anyone, anytime. (Yes I understand t

Carbon neutral synthetic fuels might make sense for airliners, because they're already pretty efficient, reliable and incomprehensibly powerful and there's tons of other stuff in them that'd require maintenance even if you to

This is more about day to day operations than emergencies. For an electric plane, your MTOW (max takeoff weight) is equal to your MLW (max landing weight). An ICE plane can take off with "bonus" fuel that it can't land with f

Surprisingly enjoyable. Make sure to stay for the phone conversation about mining. I usually don't take messages about mobile performance seriously, but this does bring even A15 Bionic devices to their knees. I wonder whether it's

I’m not sure if you’re disagreeing with me, so I’ll expand on the previous post: most commercial flights cruise at altitudes where it’s not allowed to fly without autopilot. Not for honing the pilots’ skills, not because of a malfunction. T

That’s intentional, it allows the plane to do minor speed adjustments without altering engine speed that much by wandering a bit above and below the set altitude. The autopilot mode is called ALT CRZ (as opposed to just ALT).

Ad iOS: The Files app won't let you see the whole filesystem (and unlike on Mac there's no way to escape the jail), and the app itself is pretty anaemic, but it is possible to, for example, download a bunch of files from the web,

My Aqara smart plug says it can handle 2300 W, which should be okay for the kind of dryers sold in Europe (apparently the new ones are mostly sub 1000 W).
