Honestly I'd be much more worried about Streisand effect than the original images. Nowadays what began as a joke on some Thai Facebook group could easily become a globally recognized meme overnight. Imagine the t-shirts.

I don't think you're being downvoted because you're wrong, but because your comment isn't very useful.

Low performance gains for a mid-level chip are totally a good thing if it's significantly more efficient. (I haven't seen any numbers for M3 Pro yet, but here's hoping.)

Czech pronunciation is actually very close to Italian (and both close to Latin). We don't do the "ce" and "ci" and "gn" things (we do a "di, ti, ni" thing instead), and we use diacritics to softe

Czech pronunciation is extremely regular and straightforward (sounds close to Latin or even Italian) with no weird "which vowel was that" or "half the word is silent" features and just a few exceptions. Usually if you wr

You know perfectly well that that isn't true. There wasn't any perfecting going on because the relevant class of EVs simply didn't exist and wasn't technologically possible for most of that century.

Hass is the kind of software that has a lot of rough edges, but you use it anyway because there's very little direct competition. And every release feels like so much stuff has been finally polished, but then you deploy the new version

The battery thing doesn't sound normal. My car keeps the 12V plugs powered all the time, even parked and locked. Last winter, not driving very often, I noticed one day that the whole car was covered in snow except for a small round spo

What kind of cars do you people drive where "feathering the gas pedal in heavy rain" is a necessity? My 90HP FWD car with very little weight on the front can still accelerate faster in rain without wheelspin than I'd ever nee

Are you sure that you're up to speed with the latest developments? The M1 was a pretty good wake-up call, yes, but it's not like AMD are Intel are standing still, there are now very nice chips available from all manufacturers.

What does the number of external displays have to do with the laptop being "pro", whatever that means? My Air drives a single 43" screen at home, I literally can't fit more screens on my desk. At the office anyone can gr

Literally every single Apple Silicon MacBook with 16 GB of RAM can easily run your IDE, one or two VMs and/or some containers, your messaging app of choice and your browser. That's more than enough for most dev jobs out there. If

It doesn't really replace the 13" MBP. That was a weird in-between relic with the old screen, a TouchBar and a fan that the CPU didn't really need. Essentially an Air with a bunch of semi-useless upgrades. Both the actual 13&

You only need to bump the RAM to 16 GB to get a nice, quiet, efficient dev machine, similar to an Air, but with the significantly better screen, speakers and longer battery life.

What kind of performance? The best Geekbench scores for a System76 Lemur Pro with an i7 are still significantly lower than those of a M1 MacBook Air, which is the slowest Apple Silicon laptop. The Lemur also costs $1,300+ with the i7 (i.e.

You’re saying “learning a language” like it’s learning Python or something. Come to my country and I bet you won’t be able to go through a day without falling back to English earlier than in two years.

I’m in a lower cost of living European country, a lot of people use $200 phones here. $230 for “some photo editing software” made even my fiancée raise her eyebrows, and she’s used to seeing me pay a lot for computer stuff.
