Listen to this advice. I had a system that has ~600gb of blob data in bytea that could have easily been an S3 bucket + db reference. It made backups way more of a pain than necessary. It was intentional in the design, because I wanted total

I somehow never see this happening. Like, ever. I just don't think it's something to seriously entertain.

What improvements in GA since 1975? They are very slow to change from what I understand. There are a ton of airframes from that era still flying today. I mean, yeah at the top end things have gotten nicer.

Wouldn't touch it at this point because of the association. With as bad as GitHub has gotten, I can see moving...but not to here.

You have something misconfigured then. Concurrency has never lowered my overall TPS. Also have dual 3090s. Generally use vllm though.

My Nexus One had that colored trackball, and rooting / custom roms allowed you to set specific colors to whatever type of notification or alert you wanted. Good times.

I don't really care about the fixed vs mobile distinction. Police could just use a drone swarm that automatically charges if it were ruled fixed installs were illegal.

Interesting, what happens if you just don't, and do it yourself? However, if I could have them installed for $600, I wouldn't bother doing it myself. We have a little bit of a cartel behavior with AC installers at least in my area

If the tech angle is so weak, why is YC invested in the company? They are enabling a different type of mass surveillance than was possible before due to the new tech available today for searching through mass amounts of video and audio, and

Wonder how quick this will get removed off the front page, like the last one about a woman pulled over at gunpoint multiple times because the ALPR kept making a mistake. Like I said in the last thread... I went and spoke at my county commis

Way too much money gets spent on local elections in this area, and just about everybody there is a legacy name of one sort or another. I'm also in the middle of my second startup, with a toddler. I can raise some hell though. Edit: I j

I just spoke at my county commission meeting this morning, against these cameras, as they're debating putting 50% more cameras up across the county. The original set went up without any news coverage or fanfare. https://www.

Well it does absolutely affect the price if you are willing to do it yourself. You don't need to actually touch any refrigerants. They are all preloaded in all the mini splits for sale. You just need to get the air out of the lines so

Just FYI, there's no reason at all to buy the DIY kits over just a regular mini split. The difference is DIY kits come with the lines pre-vacuumed and with seals on the end of them. So when you finally connect everything, the lines don

Why is my heavily Republican county implementing an Acxion surveillance state then? They are about as MAGA as it gets around here. Must be the secret leftists.

Sometimes you just need to put in some effort to looking through the search space, not even exhaustively. This seems to be able to do automate doing that work.

My town's covered with them already, without much warning in the local news, at least none I saw. And they're about to add 50% more all over the county. Planning on going to the zoning meeting Tuesday to speak against them. Also h
