I would focus on killing latency in the UI. Make every button as responsive as a hardware button. (This probably requires innovation in display technology.)

Because it's two disciplines. The moment you have to decide wether to "generalize this" or not, you are a game designer, not a coder anymore. Completely different headspace. So, path of least resistance is to continue coding

This is not weird. The fact you both have worked for the same place makes it more likely that you end up in the same online community as well, not less likely.

Think about the fashion industry, how they re-discover styles again and again. Sometimes millennia old styles. This will happen with all those nice 8bit- and 18bit-machine's graphics too.

Well, "2 clicks" is a bit of hyperbole, but in the spirit of your comment, yes, things improved even over that. The free hosting schemes available today are much more powerful. Just think about what you can do with a Google accoun

Different servers are linked to with the system of federation. If you set up your own, you also choose to what other servers you connect to. So, no, you are not shutting yourself out. But you have to manage your federalization.

No, they aren't. A free market capitalism will always work for the greater good of humanity, except when it gets distorted by (inhuman) outside forces, like for example the state.

First, we don't have a free market capitalism, so you don't know that. Second, you also don't know wether humanity and capitalism are at odds. I'de wager they aren't.

So you are marketing your VM data center by talking about how a specific group of non-marketers suck at marketing? That's bad marketing. You need to produce communication that reaches those people, who are interested in VM data centers

I don't think it is a horror story. If true, it would be a way to deal with the past. I think this is a standard in religion, to walk a way on which you deal with your own past up to a state of completion. I can see that a dealing with
