I was surprised to hear that most of the 40,000 users are happy to pay £3/month to the creator in exchange for small bonuses in what seems to be a very niche (and I say niche because it's text-only, online) game. I wonder what the retention

I've had Five Finger Sprints for about a year now, and have been heavily evangelising them to my friends. Running barefoot really does feel liberating, especially going off-road through parks, fields and trails. It's like being a kid again

Agreed. Not seen the Animal Crossing LP's yet, but am a big fan of the raocow super mario ones where he plays insanely hard rom-hacks and just rambles and rambles :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UYFSvsN1CY&feature=chann...

Nice work. Quick suggestion though (for ease of copy-pasting by end-users): From the resulting rendered html with line numbers, the line numbers are also copied into the clipboard, which is undesirable. Suggest you put them in separate el

Having a single email address at the top of an email, necessitating parsing or eyeballing the content to understand the intentions and then forwarding it on to the appropriate people is surely more work, and less efficient, than the alter

Exactly this. There's plenty of legitimate one-way uses of email communication. When I'm getting confirmation emails from Amazon after having bought something, for example, I do not expect to be able to reply to the machine sending them o

Yeah, my sprints do smell bad quite fast. The fabric loves absorbing sweat. I'd recommend hand-cleaning them with washing powder in the sink, and really scrubbing the insides of the soles and fabric around the toes.

100% correct. I don't use url shortners if I can help it, as it's introducing yet another point of failiure in internet hyperlinks. Who wants to bet that in a year or two there'll be another few url shortening services down the drain, and

In Opera 10 b2, the python shell never seems to grab focus correctly, so pressing space will scroll down the page way past it, making it very fiddly to use! Along with hn user pmorici I'd like to find out what subset of Python this supports

I wonder how performant this will be? From the benchmarks I've seen of Python / PHP / Ruby, etc. Ruby isn't blisteringly fast anyway, and if run in an interpreted Java VM in a relatively new in-house Java runtime then it might not be a grea
