I went through this hell. to get the PO box you need a residential address, you need ID with an address. I moved to a new state and was temporarily without residence or local ID, and as an experiment I tried to see how much I could accompli

I have had this happen repeatedly just because the driver wanted to roll through a stop light to do a right hand turn. One thing I don't think car drivers realize is how much of what bicyclists do out of self-preservation rather than c

After bicycling to and from work for a couple years, I settled on exactly this behavior. If you're doing it as stated, there's no risk because there's no car driver close enough to be reasonably confused about what you'r

That would have been an infinitely more interesting and appropriate article to read on HN. He seems to have initially achieved escape velocity from typical performer constraints by self-funding shows using his Reddit fanbase, is that right?

Ledger appears to be the "prescribed" way to do accounting natively in Bitcoin/other cryptocurrencies as well. I investigated this earlier this year. Quicken is out, no support and no way to add it in. And I found that GNUCas

As far as I'm concerned, Foscam cameras (the type in the story) are not securable. The firmware is complete trash. I have one and it is loaded with bugs. At least twice now I've gotten an urgent email telling me to update my firmw

I love OpenSMTPD. The only issue I had with it was, no filter API (just fixed, as of a month ago or so) and to get things like spam and antivirus filtering, or domainkeys, you have to proxy chain it. Also, the API changed very rapidly, and
