+1 for LazyVim I got fed up of tweaking my own config and keeping up with the very fast moving plugin ecosystem. Gave LazyVim a try (after using LunarVim for a bit) and it's been a breeze. It's very well polished and maintained by

I don't believe the scrollwheel works to seek video, not sure, but MPV can go frame by frame. It's bound to the keyboard by default, but you can tweak your config and bind it to the scrollwheel.

Qt has some commercial license only components, but the majority is open-source. In fact, the KDE Free Qt Foundation ensures that the framework is always available under GPL+LGPLv3.[0] Anyway, there are some languages specifically desgined

While that's certainly the plan, Matrix is still not at the "can't use it wrong" stage Signal has gotten to. Verifying multiple devices is still inconsistent and often requires multiple tries (may be an issue with the ma

Cinny's latest update seemed really good and juicy, with lots of important features finally added. Haven't tried it proper yet tho. My issue with anything not Synapse (for now), is migration and atability. Conduit is still somewha

Could you elaborate your points? I'm particularly interested in "Matrix isn't really decentralized" and on which XMPP client you're using on Linux. Thanks!

I think you're underestimating the power of defaults. Most people are just going to use whatever default the system/browser uses and not bother changing, most won't even know how to do it.

Yeah here in Portugal we have a ton of those too. Each municipality has its own cm-<name>.pt domain, but there some exceptions. For example, Lisbon's domain redirects to lisboa.pt, and while no other major city I know does this,

With Signal you actually do. The APK gotten from their website isn't the same from GPlay. It has an auto updater (will prompt you with a notif when a new version comes out, which you can click to install), and doesn't come with a

On desktop, on Android and iOS it uses the OS keystore. It really should do on desktop as well, Windows, Mac and Linux (through freedesktop standard) all have APIs for that, there really isn't much excuse. Desktop Signal has always had

I think perhaps both use and order have an effect on the cognitive effort one has to put in to speak in a language. You probably started learning English at a fairly young age (less than 15?), which certainly helped you cement it as a "
