I end up with some reference to H2G2, but can't figure out if that's the end. I can't find any next step from there, so I don't know if that's it. (NB: not trying to spoil the puzzle, just confused by the next step)

Not surprising coming from AirBnB, but this app looks very, very polished. It doesn't look much but the customization of all these standard UI elements (e.g. UITabBar as mentioned by sudont) makes a difference in the end. I would say espe

I didn't see that they had the full email ( http://www.businessinsider.com/google-bonus-and-raise-2010-1... ). In that case, that person wasn't very careful. One easy way to identify people would be to fingerprint each email by permuting wo

With presumably 23,000 people getting that email, unless the person (if only one did) was not careful at all, I don't think they could be discovered. (I'm not sure that anyone would really care either)

I wasn't expecting an anime character, but more something like in the movie S1m0ne ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0258153/ ). In that movie, the movie/pop star is computer generated but is a "real" person and there actually is a scene with a

This is not real. It's presented as if the app is reflecting what's happening on the phone through an app and the table is reflecting the gestures back to the phone. All of this is completely fluid in the video. However, a friend of mine ha

Interesting story, but I doubt that the "!!!!1!!11one!!" part is to make fun of leet. On the contrary, I'd say that this was to make fun of people who type in all caps (using Shift). In their hurry to write a great all-caps comment, they mi

I've heard that too, but it's just hard to believe that a company that can pack so much stuff in such small spaces (be it iOS devices or MacBook Air's) and is praised for its industrial design and great hardware engineering, can't figure ou

Regarding using pen and paper, for certain tasks, I'm never fully satisfied with either working on paper or doing it on a computer. For things like UI, mapping out the basic architecture of an app, on one hand I find that pen and paper is m

I would think that the point is that it's virtually losing no battery time while in sleep mode. So, if you have 5 hours of battery life fully charged when you leave the house, that really means 5 hours of the computer on, even if you use it

Interesting, I didn't know they had a free plan. (never looked into it that much) 5MB of DB and 1 "dyno" would be plenty for what I have in mind (let's be honest: 1kB would be sufficient :)), so I'll definitely keep it in mind as well. But

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noted that! That's one of the things that struck me: in "regular" settings, the usual question is "what do you do?"; at Startup School, it was always "what are you working on?". Subtle but telling differenc

Sure, but the 10/GUI is managing the windows though. It's a different way of doing window management, but that's still what is it. I'm curious to know if ary had something else in mind.
