Very well done! Besides the all-domain permissions which you might want to constrain a bit, I'd also remove the button which doesn't do anything. Chrome lets me hide it, but you could make me forego that step too.

Thanks! This is a very good selection for me. (I particularly like f.lux) I only recently jailbroke my iPhone because I wanted to change some APN settings after switching to an MVNO (StraightTalk), but hadn't really installed anything besid

How is it the official app? It's not made by Google but by Pixite (author of the OP): http://www.webalbumsapp.com/ Were they bought out or something? That page doesn't seem to indicate so.

As burke noted above ( http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4534670 ), pressing 's' will activate the search bar. This was also the one thing I was missing from the post. I did try '/' as well.

Since it's keeping the same width and that most apps are used in portrait mode, they just need to make sure they adapt to the longer screen. For a lot of apps, it could mean doing nothing at all, since the typical app has a navigation bar a

Strangely, I never minded having my Skitch images uploaded to Skitch but I don't really like now needing an Evernote account. (it's my understanding that I will, but it's not clear) It's really too bad when great software gets tangled with

Very interesting. Tiny nitpick: this is more an iPhone 4 than a 4S: the black notch on the top frame is not present with the 4S. (they have one notch at the top of each side) Though to be perfectly accurate, you'll also need two notches at

From personal experience, yes. I've been twice (2009, 2010), but I didn't get in last year, so maybe it's getting too crowded (or I got unlucky :)).

Your comment made me think of this point: it's not uncommon for companies to ask to be prepared for a full day of interviews but based on how the early interviews go, you get more or less interviews at the end of the day. This is no differe

I'm with you. The comments diverged towards debating that particular case: "I think he was rude"/"we can't tell if he was…", but the point you're making is about the more general question: excusing yourself from further interviews is not ne

Based on the way the article is phrased, it sounds like removing these makes things feel simpler and less bureaucratic. In more details: not having a parking barrier means you can just drive in the lot without stopping your car, opening you

I'm not really talking about IAP for upgrades but when they're used to buy expendables (be it coins, stars, bonus items, etc.). I'm fine with the "free with in-app paid upgrade" or the 'lite' version and 'full' version (though I find the fo

I dislike free-to-play games because they tend to distort the gameplay towards paying additional in-game credits. It also feels a bit like printers: you get the printer for cheap but pay a lot on inks. Here they lure people in with a well-d

Because only the iPhone 4S and iPad 2+ support AirPlay Mirroring. There are ways to do it with apps for jailbroken iOS devices, though you're likely to get a lesser quality. You might want to have a look at this one for example, made by a f

The Hacker News software capitalize the title of the posts, thus transforming the correct "iOS" (as seen in the title of the blog post itself) in "IOS". I believe pg added some exceptions since I've seen "iPhone" and "iPad" properly capital

What do you mean "block all google-voice numbers"? As in automatically removing them from posts? That would be very stupid because some people use their Google Voice number exclusively, and it shouldn't be up to them to decide how I should
