I'd say it's a good thing to know the approaches of different frameworks, but solid foundations are the most important factor in successful development. Try to decouple your application logic from your view layer to clearly deline

I don't know what you're trying to get at. For the original comment to make sense you'll have to show that: - the "Disney Trio of Destruction" relies on behavior that isn't accurately emulated which can be emul

How often to you write random text into the IBAN field of your bank? Never, because it's an identification number? What a coincidence. I mean, just think this two steps further. Hackers change input, and banks change input, so hackers

It seems like you have this strange understanding that a perfect emulator works 100% like the original hardware (cycle accurate emulation). As I've already stated, you're not going to get a performant emulator by being 100% accura

You never know when a different game will be found to be broken by the changed behavior. At this point it's safe to say that pretty much all Wii games have been tested with Dolphin.

"Accurate enough" isn't a boolean value. An emulator can emulate all games perfectly without being fully accurate, and it will be much much much faster than a fully accurate one. It's accurate enough for most games, but

It's only the same thing if you look from a very shallow angle. Stripping part of the user input to ensure it's entered by the person themselves is otherwise completely different from replacing user input with different data. One

Update: I've now implemented a small PoC with ID negotation, you can see it here: https://gist.github.com/TimonLukas/c0bb7e8f9bde9d3d74d6b776b... This will reduce message size quite a bit, since the data isn'

Update: I was able to get this working by wrapping WebSocket and WebSocketServer! The API surface for the wrapper seems to be pretty minimal. If I do use TRPC in the rewrite of the embedded server, I'll implement a custom message schem

Thank you for the suggestions! I am specifically looking to optimize frontend-to-server communication, so WebSocket is a must. Is there some way I could inject a custom transform function between TRPC and the WebSocket? I could copy the exi

The embedded device the server is running on has a very weak CPU. Since I'm trying to optimize throughput this would have quite an impact. It's fine if the first few messages are slow, the speed just has to pick up after initializ

Is there some way to reduce message size in WebSocket scenarios? It looks like it uses JSON-RPC under the hood with strings for message names etc. I'm looking for ways to improve the throughput of an embedded WS server. One idea I had

As far as I understand the Standard Model is not just corrected for inaccuracies, it has also been used to make a number of predictions. This means there is some value in it and it's not pure overfitting.

Forcing you to manually type the first two digits makes sense to me. If a hacker is able to modify clipboard text, you manually inputting the first two digits should trip up the IBAN checksum.
