Only an idiot would think she was suggesting blindly replacing every instance of "very capable" with accomplished. Clearly they are merely suggestions to consider.

Could be a more powerful ARM Cortex, rather than the insanely out-dated Atmel chips. If anyone ever makes a 5V ARM processor Atmel will be finished. Also I'm going to rant about Arduino for a bit: Yes it's very simple and easy to

I have an Android app with my email as the support address. Probably half of the emails I get from there are blank. No idea why.

Yeah this is clearly a problem with gdb, not std::vector. Really gdb is pretty rubbish and hasn't been improved for many years. LLDB should be much better.

No, that is a clone of Worms. This is a clone of Leiro which seems to also have an open source exact-clone: http://www.liero.be/ . The gameplay is totally different.

Nobody is going to read a 52 page shitBB thread... Can you give us the gist? It seems like an odd scam to run.

Android is only split up into smaller repositories because git can't handle having it all in one.

That makes no sense. Facebook specifically said they might have chosen git! They had the same choices as any developer except that a) they don't care about github, and b) they wanted to modify the VCS to support massive scale. Apparent

That's not true. There are many thinks inherently wrong with PHP security. And while you can write crap and insecure applications in any language, PHP actively encourages it.

As far as I can tell the argument in this article is: > Snowden exposed what the NSA was doing, and most of it is bad and everybody is glad we found out, but some was good! So he should be hunted down for the rest of his life.

Bullshit. Subverting the Linux kernel would easily be within the capabilities of the NSA. Kernel contributors aren't background-checked so all you need to do is to pay someone to do some legitimate kernel hacking in a sensitive area.

It's correct though. Authors donate their work freely. Reviewers work for free. I believe even editorial boards work for free. I'm not sure about that though. All Elsevier has to do is hassle people for reviews and run a website.

I've used QML / QtQuick for a while. Here are my thoughts 1. It makes writing UI state machines much simpler since it is declarative. Instead of saying "when this information changes, update the UI", you just say "

Cool, but I'd be surprised if this actually works well - the shaft would surely catch on the shoulder bit, and the force pushing the shaft through is perfectly in line with the axis of the wheel, so there is very little moment turning

Well not really because the "do one thing well" leads to shell scripting where you join together dozens of separate tiny programs. Shell scripting is not exactly fast, nor is it robust.

Yes, the truth is that the AOSP Browser is now abandonware - Google have stopped developing it in favour of Chrome, and likely won't accept non-security patches for it. I don't think this matters much anyway. Firefox is a more tha
